Berggorilla & Regenwald Direkthilfe
Since 1982, the Berggorilla & Regenwald Direkthilfe has been dedicated to the conservation of gorillas, especially the mountain gorillas, and their habitats. As well, they create The Gorilla Journal, a publication about current Gorilla conservation projects in Africa.
The Bushmeat Crisis Taskforce (BCTF) The BCTF is a consortium of conservation organizations and scientists dedicated to the conservation of wildlife populations threatened by commercial hunting of wildlife for sale as meat, and was founded in 1999. They have become the primary source for any information you need about the whole bushmeat crisis.
The Bushmeat Project
This is the number one source for bushmeat information on great apes. Dr. Anthony Rose is founder of the Bushmeat Project and director of The Gorilla Foundation's Wildlife Protectors Fund, The Bushmeat Projecta nonprofit organization working to influence positive shifts in conservation values and conservation practices in equatorial Africa.
World Primate Safaris

The Bushmeat Exhibit

  Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park Website
Situated in the north of the Republic of Congo, the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park was created in 1993 by the Congolese government and WCS to conserve the forests of northern Congo. NNNP recently became one of the only National Parks in Africa to launch its own website, which includes information on all aspects of the Park, from research and conservation to the wildlife you can see there.

The Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage in central Zambia is a non-profit refuge that cares for a variety of sick or unwanted animals - with the primary residents being approximately 70 orphaned chimpanzees.

BOS-USA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of orangutans and their rainforest habitat. They raise funds in the U.S. to support a variety of orangutan conservation projects in Indonsesia and Malaysia.

The Orangutan Sanctuary by Anne Russon
Please visit Dr. Anne Russon's website. Dr. Russon, a professor at York University in Toronto, and a prominent primatologist, is dedicated to saving the world's red apes. You can also find out about her book, Orangutans: Wizards of the Rainforest, published in 2000.
The Rainforest Action Network
This dedicated organization is responsible for huge steps to ending the destruction of rainforests around the world. Recently, RAN launched a campaign to work with home builders to eliminate the use of old growth wood in home construction, including persuading Home Depot and other large home improvement retailers to switch to alternatives.

The Leicestershire Primate Concern website is aimed at promoting the work and needs of African Primate sanctuaries, with a particular emphasis on donations/primate adoptions and membership to the sanctuaries.
