| About the Project |
| |
The main objective of this cooperative project
is to emphasize the significance of Geographic Information Systems
(GIS) towards the conservation of the endangered bonobo (Pan
paniscus).
GIS technology can supply a powerful tool to bring factors affecting
the condition and extent of bonobo populations together. Of
particular interest to this project is how these primates are
being affected by human activities, especially the
bushmeat trade. |
